Research Management Cell (RMC-GGIC)

The Research Management Cell (RMC) is a core component of GoldenGate International College (GGIC), dedicated to leading and advancing the institution’s research initiatives. RMC-GGIC plays an instrumental role in fostering an active interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research environment across the college.

Objectives of RMC

  • Promote innovation and research-based learning while maintaining high academic standards for all research activities.
  • Support and facilitate the seamless blending of teaching and learning with active research.
  • Facilitate joint research initiatives and collaborative projects among both faculty members and students.
  • Organize consistent research-driven events including workshops, seminars, training sessions, and community outreach programs.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external stakeholders including governmental and non-governmental organizations to advance research.
  • Maintain and align all institutional research activities with the standards set by the affiliated university and UGC Nepal.

📢 NOTICE

Call for Collaborative and Mini Research Grant Proposal 2026

The Research Management Cell (RMC) of GoldenGate International College (GGIC) hereby announces its Call for Research Proposals for the Academic Year 2026. In accordance with the RMC Research Grants Guidelines, we invite eligible faculty members and students to submit high-quality, rigorous research proposals designed to promote multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research culture in Golden Gate International College (GGIC). A total of five (5) grants are available under this specific call cycle.

1. Collaborative Research Grants — 3 Available

Purpose & Scope: To develop and strengthen team-based, collaborative research work among GGIC faculties and students, fostering academic knowledge exchange and leadership skills.

Eligibility Criteria: The research team must comprise exactly two (2) faculties and at least one (1) student from the respective department. The Team Leader must be a full-time faculty member of GGIC. Prior cycle grant recipients are not eligible to apply.

Funding & Duration: NRs. 60,000 per grant. Fund disbursement follows an institutional model: 40% upon signing the grant agreement, and the remaining 60% upon successful completion and evaluation approval. The project timeline must match the duration agreed with the RMC.

2. Mini Research Grants — 2 Available

Purpose & Scope: Aimed at nurturing and developing individual research skills among faculty members across various departments at GGIC, promoting a research-based learning culture.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be full-time faculty members who have served at least one (1) full academic year at GGIC.

Funding & Duration: Maximum NRs. 40,000 per grant. Disbursed as 40% upfront upon signing an institutional agreement and 60% upon successful completion and final submission of the research report. The project timeline must match the duration agreed with the RMC.

Evaluation & Selection Procedure

Proposals undergo a strict blind review process by the Proposal Selection Committee. The selection is based on: Evaluation of proposal (80%) and Proposal presentation/defense (20%). Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for further selection.

Application Process & Guidelines

Interested applicants must submit an official application form along with copies of academic certificates of the highest qualification and two (2) copies of the research proposal formatted entirely in APA format (10–15 pages max, 1.5 line spacing). To maintain the blind review process, the researcher’s name should not appear anywhere except on the cover page.
