The courses are designed with the following objectives:
1. To give students up to date knowledge of recent trends in microbiology.
2. To impart skills to the students in the areas of theoretical, experimental and applied microbiology.
3. To develop manpower in teaching microbiology at the tertiary level and to conduct research in microbiology.
4. To produce high level research manpower in microbiology.
